General Submission Guidelines

Literaryroad.com is open to all kinds of submissions. See imprints for the types we are currently seeking.

Royalty and Contracts

Literaryroad.com offers both ebook and print contracts. We offer 40% royalties of the cover price of ebooks offered off our site and 50% of the profits for any of our other outlets. Royalties are paid out quarterly.

We have separate contracts for ebook and print books so that authors can decide which they’d like to contract with.

Print Outlets

Our books are offered online at Amazon.com, Barnes and Noble and can be found pretty much all online outlets. They are also offered at local bookstores, and inside Borders Books and Music. We have distribution in place so that our books can be ordered anywhere nationwide and found in local libraries

How to Submit a Manuscript

We accept all manuscripts by email submission. Please send us a summary of your work along with the first 3 chapters. For short story submissions please include the entire manuscript. Otherwise use these guidelines:

1. Send submissions by email attachment in either rtf (Rich Text Format) or .doc (Microsoft Office).

2. On the first page include your name and your email/contact information. Often your manuscript will be separated from your email so we have no way of contacting you if we need to get back to you.

3. Times Roman 12pt.

4. Don’t include any graphics in the manuscript. (No matter how cute you think they look.)

5. The manuscript must be completed. We don’t accept partly finished manuscripts unless they are with one of our prior authors.

Don’t send us your first try. Make sure your book in polished and all of your typos are corrected. Manuscripts with poor spelling and grammar will be rejected. Please send your work to submissions@literaryroad.com
